TCKZone - The Future of Kids in Tech

Parents worry about how excessive mobile use is affecting their children but struggle to tame their tech habits. Parenting in a digitally inundated environment presents dilemmas for many moms and dads. It was observed what children — ranging in age from five to 16 — did with gadgets, and how long they spent staring at them. Based on the findings, children now seem to crave screen time with their tablets and phones more than they do sugar and sweets.

When it comes to preparing your children for the future, there are few better ways to do so than to help them learn tech(coding, design, robotics and so on). Coding helps kids develop academic skills, build qualities like perseverance and organization, and gain valuable 21st century skills that can even translate into a career.

The Creative Kids Zone (TCKzone) "Empowering Creative Kids Through Tech. A Program set up to train kids to code, design and do other awesome things in tech."

Upon discovery that 6 out of 10 most successful tech leaders started coding before the age of 15, Oluwadamilola Soyombo launched The Creative Kids Zone in May 2019, to train kids in tech skills. Her aim is simple:

  1. To make kids enthusiastic about learning technology.
  2. To introduce kids to the world of information technology.
  3. To educate kids with the skills they need for the jobs of the future.
  4. To create young ambassadors for technology.
